Rented a vehicle while mine was in the shop. Went above & beyond to help with picking me up from enterprise rental lot & then when my truck was done a new hose they just put on it blew. They new I had an appointment so they allowed me to use one of their vehicles to run & make my appointment.

Exceeded expectations and completed a major warranty repair on transmission on GMC truck ahead of schedule. Nice job !

Was told there were diagnostics that would show any recorded error codes for my transmission, when I set the appointment for service. The report stated that the tech road tested my truck quote and all caps “HARD “ with WOT and that he couldn’t possibly create a heavier load. And that the transmission did not fail with another abbreviation of TCC and the vehicle was operating as designed, needing nothing. WHEN I asked the timid yet kind receptionist at the front counter to explain the abbreviations, a voice from another room said that WOT stands for wide open throttle. When asked to explain TCC the voice replied searchingly, “Umm transmission….. control……… umm… I don’t remember what the second C stands for” The form also said that I would need to come back with my trailer so they could experience the issue first hand. My takeaway from this experience is the tech decided to take my truck who knows where, and put the accelerator to the floor for who knows how long to see if this would force my truck to repeat an issue that only happens while carefully towing a 5th wheel. I was told on the phone that they would run diagnostics and check for recalls to see if anything popped up. I did NOT expect the obvious abuse that could only cause harm. If the issue showed up while under WIDE OPEN THROTTLE, I’m pretty certain you would be replacing a ruined truck with a new one. This was not only a waste of 3 hrs travel and waiting, by my truck was also needlessly abused. Overall, very unprofessional.

The customer service I received by the Service Department personnel was once again front and center to having a good experience. And the fact the part needed to repair my father's pickup truck would not be delivered until the next business day, a loaner vehicle was provided since I had no other transportation to travel home. I had asked about the scenario, and they provided accordingly. The only issue I had was my father's pickup truck was covered in black berries when I took possession the following day - which meant it was parked near or directly underneath a black berry tree before or after it had been worked on. I had no choice other than to drive the pickup truck to a nearby automatic car wash and try to remove all the black berries on the hood, cabin roof and the tunic cover. $22.00 later the majority (not all) of the black berry residue was removed. Guess I misunderstood that when you bring a vehicle in for repair work, your vehicle is returned to the you in the same exterior condition. That is why I gave only 4 out of 5 stars rating rather than 5 out of 5 stars. I still intend to bring my father's pickup truck back to GMC of Goshen should it require more maintenance / repair work. However, I may have to go from a 'low maintenance' customer to a more of an assertive type of patron.
